Exciting Opportunities with Humberside Police

Have you ever considered a career with Humberside Police or volunteering with them?

They have lots of wonderful opportunities available ranging from volunteering to full time paid positions.

Diversity and positive action
Humberside Police are keen that their officers better represent our growing diverse communities. This is particularly important as it aids them to better understand and connect with the community they serve.

The Police welcome applicants from all communities especially those from under-represented groups

Here’s a taster of what’s on offer:

Volunteering
Find out more about what our volunteers do by clicking on this link: https://www.humberside.police.uk/become-community-safety-volunteer

Covid 19 restrictions mean applications are currently not being taken but they are hopeful they will re-open their volunteering scheme soon. Look out for updates here: https://www.humberside.police.uk/become-community-safety-volunteer

Once applications do open, if there is a role you would like to volunteer for, there will be an application form to complete. The police would love to hear from you.

Special Constables
Special Constables work on a voluntary basis but undertake the same training and have the same powers as paid police officers.

The next recruitment will open on Monday 19th April and will remain open for 3 weeks. www.wearehumbersidespecials.co.uk has all the information needed. You can return to the website on the 19th April and download an application form.

Cadets
Cadets are 15 & 16 years of age. The 2021 Cadet Recruitment opened on 1st of April 2021. Humberside Police hope to invite up to 60 young people to join in September this year.

· Young people aged 16 or over can also become Community Safety Volunteers so can link in with the wider force that way too. This area is looked after by Kirsty Summerbell.

The KICKSTART Scheme
This scheme offers 15 places for 6 months to 16-24 year olds who work 25 hrs per week. Recruitment has just happened but the next opportunity will be (Lincoln?)

Under 15s
For those younger than 15, the police host Work Experience opportunities in the CSU (Lincoln, what is this?) This is currently on hold due to Covid but they are hoping to do this as soon as possible.

Age 10+ years
Lifestyle is for young people from the age of 10 and in the last years of Primary School. This is also currently on hold due to Covid.
